We are a small group of enthusiastic local historians from various backgrounds with an interest in the history of Woodchurch, a large Wealden village between the market towns of Tenterden and Ashford in Kent. 

Our research is published in our journal Scuppets & Scutchell. A new issue appears roughly once each year and includes well-researched and lavishly illustrated articles on a range of topics so that each issue has something to appeal to everyone.

On our main website you will find searchable, free-to-access transcriptions of population censuses of Woodchurch, parish records, electoral rolls, overseers accounts and a host of other useful resources for researchers who share an interest in the village and surrounding parishes.
